With one full day in Prague, you have time to soak some up of the Czech culture and tick off a few of the main sites in the city.
National Museum – Wenceslas Square
Start your trip by visiting Wenceslas Square. If you catch the metro, get off at Mustek and go for a stroll down the street surrounded by shops and restaurants making your way to the national museum.
Wenceslas Square is one of the major squares in Prague and is the place where many important historical events took place. In 1989 it was the site of anti-communist demonstrations and clashes between the communist party and the new Czech Republic we know now. On the street, you will see many restaurants, cafes and shops all being overlooked by a statue of the patron saint of the Czech Republic Saint Wenceslas.
At the top of the street, you will see The National Museum which was founded in 1818 and is a beautiful example of neo-renesaince architecture. The museum is worth visiting but be prepared to spend multiple hours going through the entire complex.
